For a laid-back date that’s sure to break the ice or simply shake up your usual routine, see Second City’s Improv All Stars show tonight at Up Comedy Club for only $16 a ticket. Last year the Tribune’s theatre critic called it “a slick and entertaining show,” recommending it for its laughable and historical quotient.
The show lasts an hour, which makes it convenient to have dinner before the show or after. Might I suggest Kamehachi for sushi with a gorgeous backdrop, or the adorably delicious Elly’s Pancake House, which does serve dinner (and is open 24 hours a day!).
Their Best Of show (featuring greatest hits in sketches, songs, and improvisations from their 52-year history) is sold out for tonight, but you can catch it next Monday if you buy your tickets in advance.
Laugh it up!
