As I say every summer, the Near Northwest side is a great place to live or visit. And while DNA Info isn’t usually much of a list-driven news site a la Buzzfeed, their post today on the myriad activities happening in Wicker Park and Bucktown this weekend was well played.
Below are my favorites from a well curated list of options for this weekend.
- Pillage the massive record sale at Dusty Groove, located at 1120 N. Ashland Avenue, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Bring any extra coins you can find in your car or couch cushions — I’m talkin’ cheap.
- Peruse the Bucktown Arts Fest, a low-key summer festival perfect to bring the kiddies or to just calmly walk through after a loud Friday night. Continues Sunday.
- Dunk the bartenders of Bangers & Lace and Carriage House, two Division Street neighbors, at a block party from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday. Nosh on street food including cotton candy created by a pastry chef. What?! Tickets are $35 each.
