Tonight is the once-monthly Interview Show hosted by Tribune columnist Mark Bazer, whom you might’ve heard on yesterday’s Afternoon Shift on WBEZ. The Interview Show takes place the first Friday of every month at The Hideout, a charming shack of a bar located between Bucktown and Lincoln Park. Tonight’s show features Homaro Cantu, local celebrity chef of Moto and iNG; Rebecca Skloot, best-selling author of “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks;” and Henry Wishcamper, director of Goodman Theatre’s “Other Desert Cities.”
The show begins at 6:30 p.m. and tickets at the door are $8. Go to The Hideout’s site for additional info.
Afterward, go to Ada St. for a similarly cozy, intimate dinner, one of Chicago Magazine’s top 20 new restaurants of last year and where Time Out Chicago says the wait is “rewarded threefold.” Or for something more laid back, the Goose Island brewpub on Clybourn is just around the corner (and they take reservations).
